1997 - If you're ever in the mood for someone to treat you like shit, watch this film. Nick Broomfield investigates the murder conspiracy theories around Kurt Cobain's suicide. The film is a compelling murder mystery, a story of serious family dysfunction, and what happens when you get famous. There is an amazing moment when Broomfield asks Kurt's best friend a difficult question, as he hesitates to respond a car alarm goes off in background. The moment would have been contrived in fiction, but it's chilling in the documentary.
